Lasso Appoints Dr. Selene Parekh, MD, MBA, as Chief Medical Officer

Lasso, an innovative movement brand, today announced the appointment of leading orthopedic surgeon and medical innovator Dr. Selene Parekh as Lasso’s Chief Medical Officer.
Dr. Selene Parekh is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon practicing at Rothman Orthopaedic Institute in Princeton, NJ who specializes in the diagnosis and management of foot and ankle disorders. He is renowned for using cutting-edge procedures and implants that he created and developed himself in his procedures. Dr. Parekh is a pioneer in the utilization of 3D printing technology, total ankle replacements, and the treatment of foot and ankle issues in sports. He also focuses on minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Parekh is also a highly respected educator, having previously served as Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Duke University, where he taught and trained medical students, residents and fellows. He also served as an Adjunct Faculty Member at the Fuqua Business School at Duke University and was the Director of Digital Strategy and Innovation in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Parekh formerly served as the Co-Chief of the Foot and Ankle Division at Duke University. He has been involved with teaching, educating, and training since 2006 when he was an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the University of North Carolina.
Dr. Parekh has been a medical advisory board member and investor in Lasso from the early days of the company, when he first tried Lasso Socks and experienced firsthand the medical impact that can be created with the company’s unique, patented technology.
